Hacıbektaş

Hacıbektaş is a small town of the province of Nevsehir in inland Turkey. The town has 5,078 inhabitants, of the same county 11,480 inhabitants ( 2013).
Name
Hacıbektaş owes its name to the Muslim Sufi mystic Haji Bektash, who lived there in the second half of the 13th century and worked. His grave is located there and is one of the places of pilgrimage for the Alevis.
Geography
The small town is located in the southwest of Kozaklı, in the West of Avanos, in the north of Gülşehir and in the southeastern province Kırşehir. Hacıbektaş is about 45 km from Nevsehir, Kırşehir of about 42 km, about 90 km from Kayseri from Ankara about 230 km.
Hacıbektaş is on average about 1250 meters high. The highest point is Mount Kirlangic to approximately 1720 meters.
Economy
The largest profit is made by agriculture, with wheat, barley, lentils, chick peas and sugar beets are grown. The second most important economic sector is animal breeding.
