Hae Phoofolo

Edward Hae Phoofolo (* in the 20th century ) is a non-party politician and lawyer in Lesotho. From 17 August to 14 September 1994 he was the prime minister of the country.

Phoofolo is an attorney in Maseru. In 1988, he was transferred as deputy head of the National Bank of Lesotho, to have repeatedly smuggled money to Lesotho, and sentenced to imprisonment. A revision in 1990 was unsuccessful. In 1994, King Letsie III. with help of the military in 1993 democratically elected government under Ntsu Mokhehle ( Basotho Congress Party ) from the Constitution and partially repealed. Phoofolo was used as the prime minister. After four weeks, he had to return it to the Office Mokhehle pressure on South Africa and other neighboring countries.

2007 Phoofolo was injured in a knife attack. He was planning a run for the opposition All Basotho Convention (ABC) in the parliamentary elections in May 2012. However ABC tip opposed the candidacy and closed Phoofolo in December 2011 temporarily from the party. In return, he brought an action against the party for defamation. In 2012, he worked as a notary in the Anglican Church in Lesotho.

In the 2012 elections, he won a mandate for the ABC and was then Minister of Justice.
