Hailar District

The municipality Hailar (海拉尔 区, Hǎilā'ěr Qū ), formerly independent city of Hailar, is the political and economic center of the prefecture-level city of Hulun Buir in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China. Hailar has an area of 1,440 km ² and around 260,000 inhabitants ( end of 2004).

Administrative Divisions

At the community level, Hailar is composed of six road districts and two large communities. These are:

  • Road district Hulun (呼伦 街道);
  • Road district Jiankang (健康 街道);
  • Road district Jianshe (建设 街道);
  • Road district Kaoshan (靠山 街道);
  • Road district Shengli (胜利 街道);
  • Road district Zhengyang (正阳 街道);
  • Greater community Fendou (奋斗 镇);
  • Greater community Hag (哈克 镇).
