Haiyan County, Qinghai

The circle Haiyan (海晏 县; pinyin: Hǎiyàn Xiàn ) is a district of the Autonomous District Haibei of the Tibetans in the northeastern Chinese province of Qinghai. He is attributable to the Tibetan cultural region of Amdo. Its main towns are the major communities Sanjiaocheng (三角 城镇) and Xihai (西海 镇). It has an area of 4348 km ² and has a population of 30.000.

The sites of the ruined city of Xihai Prefecture ( Xihai jun Yizhi Gucheng ) and China's first research station for nuclear weapons ( di- yi ge hewuqi welcoming of Jidi Jiuzhi ) are on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China.
