Haiyan

Haiyan is ambiguous. It may refer to:

  • The circle Haiyan (海晏 县) in the Autonomous District Haibei of Tibetans in the Chinese province of Qinghai, see Haiyan ( Haibei );
  • The circle Haiyan (海盐县) Jiaxing City in Zhejiang Province, see Haiyan ( Jiaxing );
  • The greater community Haiyan (海宴 镇) of the city of Taishan in Guangdong province, see Haiyan ( Taishan );
  • The village Haiyan (海燕 村) in the large village of Xincun Autonomous Okrug Shui Ling Li in Hainan Province, see Haiyan ( Xincun ).

The name Haiyan was used in the Pacific Northwest for three tropical cyclones;

  • Typhoon Haiyan ( T1330, 31W, Yolanda ) in 2013, one of the strongest tropical cyclones, with strong consequences for the Philippines and Vietnam
