Hájek (Karlovy Vary District)

Hájek ( German Green Grass ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located seven kilometers northwest of Karlovy Vary and Karlovy Vary belongs to Okres.

Geography

Hájek located at the junction of the Sokolov Basin to Doupov Mountains. West of the village rises the Jahodník (540 m). In the east extend the railway line Chomutov - Cheb and the State Road 13 / E 442 between Karlovy Vary and Ostrov.

Neighboring towns are Bystřice and Kfely in the north, Ostrov, Liticov and Mořičov in the northeast, and Nejda Ovcarna in the east, Nová Víska the southeast, Lesov in the south, and Sadov Liščí Díra the southwest, Velky Rybnik in the west and Hroznětín in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of grass green comes from the year 1409. From the beginning of the 16th century until the abolition of the village of patrimonial rule Schlackenwerth was submissive. To the owners of the village were the silts and the Dukes of Saxe- Lauenburg. 1690 acquired the Margrave of Baden by marriage the property. Later, the goods came to Ferdinand III.

From 1850 formed grass green with the district Fuchsloch a municipality in the district of Karlovy Vary. With the completion of the railway from Schlackenwerth to Carlsbad grass green in 1871 connected to the railway network. 1930 the community had 597 inhabitants. As a result of the Munich Agreement in 1938, it was annexed by the German Reich. 1939 lived 543 people in grass green. From 1938 to 1945 Grass Green was part of the German district of Karlovy Vary and came to the end of the Second World War back to Czechoslovakia. From 1946 to 1960, the congregation, which was renamed in 1948 Hájek belonged to Okres Karlovy Vary - okolí and since 1961 back to Okres Karlovy Vary. 1961 Nová Víska was incorporated. Between 1978 and 1990, Hájek was a district of Sadov.

Community structure

The municipality consists of the villages Hájek Hájek ( grass green) and Nová Víska ( Neudorfl ), at the same time also form Katastralbezirke. Basic settlement units are Hájek, Nejda ( Neudau ) and Nová Víska. To Hájek also includes the settlement Ovcarna ( sheep ).
