Hanka Pachale

Hanka Durante ( born Hanka Pachale, born September 12, 1976 in Schwerin ) is a former German volleyball player.

Career

Hanka Durante was 120 times the German national team. In 1996, she participated with the German national volleyball team at the Olympic Games in Atlanta and finished in eighth place there. In 2000, she participated with the German national volleyball team at the Sydney Olympics and finished in sixth place there. Durante played for the Schwerin SC and was two-time German champion. In 1998 she went to Italy and played in Vicenza, Modena, Florence, Jesi, Chieri, Padua, Perugia and Pavia. With Volley Modena and Colussi Perugia it was in 2001 and 2008 Champions League winner. In 2010 she moved to France for RC Cannes, where it won the French championship in 2011. In its last season played Durante 2011/12 in Italy again at Piacenza.

Hanka Durante is the daughter of Siegfried Pachale ( DDR discus thrower, Olympic participants 1976 in Montréal). Also Durante's younger sister Maja Pachale was a successful volleyball player in the Bundesliga.

Since 2013 she lives with her husband, Luca Durante, also a former volleyball player, and her son again in Schwerin. Together with her husband she runs an Italian deli in downtown.
