Hans Eberle (footballer)

Hans Eberle ( born September 28, 1925 in Ulm- Söflingen; † 2 April 1998) was a German football player. The defender denied a B- international for Germany, nine amateur international caps and was Olympian in 1952 in Helsinki.

Career

The " Redhead " (named because of his hair ) from the Ulm district Söflingen was a contract player at TSG Ulm 1846 ( 1946-1953 ) and with the Stuttgarter Kickers ( 1953-1957 ). He played a total of 241 games ( 6 goals) in the former top division, the Oberliga Süd. In Ulm, he played with Toni Turek in a team in the relegation season 1952/53, with Alfons Remlein and Georg Lechner sen .. Eberle graduated as the only all 30 round matches for Ulm. From 1950 to 1952 he had denied for Ulm in the 2nd League South still 67 games with a goal and in 1952 was returned with the "Sparrow " in the Oberliga Süd. The Stuttgarter Kickers he followed from 1953 three more series without exposing in a league game until 1956. Offensively Siegfried Kronenbitter was the most prolific players. After the round 1956/57, the Kickers occupied 14th place and Eberle another 23 missions had graduated at the side of Rolf Geiger and Herbert Dienelt, he ended his playing career.

Its international operations in the amateur as well as in the B national team he had in the years 1952 and 1953 as a player of Ulm, 1846. The extremely High Roller, fight strong and reliable defender denied the first nine discharged matches in the history of the DFB Amateurs of 14 May 1952. till June 13, 1953 highlight here was the participation in the Olympic summer Games in Helsinki in 1952. The coached by national coach Sepp Herberger selection - Eberle was his captaincy - finished fourth and reached the best result in the history of the amateur national team at the Olympic football tournaments. Herberger sat in all four tournament games on its captain, as well also in the two matches against the A- representations of Yugoslavia and Sweden. After the tournament, the coach his four Olympic rider Eberle, Herbert Schäfer, Willi Schröder and Kurt Sommerlatt rewarded with the use on 9 November 1952 in Basel in the B national team's friendly against Switzerland.

After his playing career was training the "old- International " among others, the Stuttgarter Kickers (1963-1966) in the then second division of the Football Regionalliga Süd and various higher class amateur clubs as SpVgg Renningen, TSG Backnang, Stuttgart SC or SV Bonlanden.

Hans " Ebo " Eberle was until his retirement in 1990 Principal of the primary school in Stuttgart- Gaisburg, where he worked since 1953.
