Hans-Jörg Bullinger

Hans -Jörg Bullinger ( born April 13, 1944 in Stuttgart ) is a German working scientist and former President of the Fraunhofer -Gesellschaft ( 2002-2012 ).

Life

Hans -Jörg Bullinger attended from 1963 to 1966, the Technical High School in Stuttgart, reaching there on the second chance his high school diploma.

Bullinger received his doctorate in 1974 at the University of Stuttgart in mechanical engineering. This was followed by postdoctoral same place in 1978 and a professor at the University of Hagen. From 1981 to 2002, Director of the Bullinger he co-founded Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering (IAO ), besides also Professor of Industrial Engineering and Technology Management at the University of Stuttgart. From 1 October 2002 to 30 September 2012, he served as President of the Fraunhofer -Gesellschaft. After leaving this office and handover of the presidency to Reimund Neugebauer Bullinger will be members of the Senate of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft.

He is a member of the Scientific Board of the AutoUni Wolfsburg, President of the Fraunhofer -Gesellschaft and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of TÜV Süd. In 1991, the Honorary Doctorate of the University of Belgrade followed.

Bullinger is a member of acatech, the German Academy of Science and Engineering.
