Features

The moths reach a wingspan of 12-14 millimeters. The head is off-white and pale on the sides and rear light brown. The antennae are pale striped ocher and brown. Thorax and tegulae are pale beige gray. The fore wings shining gray and beige are strongly mottled with brownish gray scales. The fringe scales are at the apex pale gray and the wings inside the edge ocher gray. The hind wings shining gray.

The genital armature of the males is similar to that of Haplochrois albanica, the distal ends of the knob- shaped Gnathos but are occupied with coarser spines. The Valven are more rectangular, the Anellus - lobes are broad and rounded and have behind a semi-circular indentation.

The genital armature of females differs from that of the females of H. albanica by the slimmer Apophyses anterior, through the narrow and U-shaped edge of genital plate and by the shape of the sign, which is surrounded by a more sclerotized edge.
