Haplochrois

Haplochrois is a genus of butterflies of the family of grass leaf miner ( Elchistidae ). The species are often associated with the genus Coleophora.

Features

The antennae are slightly shorter than the forewing. The labial palps are slender and angled upwards. The front wings are very narrow and lanceolate, smooth and often without markings. The hind wings are only half as wide as the front wings. They are straight and run very pointed to.

In the male the uncus consists of two rounded and partially interconnected lobes. The Tegumen is very long and narrow, about three times as long as the uncus. It has a rounded recess on the front edge. The Gnathos - arms are short and curved, they end in round bubbles, which are covered with rows of prongs.
