Haplogroup D-M174

Haplogroup D is a human genetics Haplogroup of the Y chromosome. Both C and D contain the mutation M 168, except that A and B is all other haplogroups own.

Origin

It is assumed that the haplogroup originated in Asia than 50,000 years ago. While haplogroup D together has the distinctive YAP mutation with haplogroup E ( a mutation that occurs only in E and D), the chromosomes of haplogroup D are found nowhere else than in Asia.
