Harry M. Coudrey

Harry Marcy Coudrey ( born February 28, 1867 in Brunswick, Missouri; † July 5, 1930 in Norfolk, Virginia ) was an American politician. Between 1906 and 1911 he represented the State of Missouri in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Harry Coudrey attended the common schools and in St. Louis, where he had moved in 1878 with his parents. In this city he attended until 1886, the Manual Training School. He then worked in various industries. At the same time he began a political career as a member of the Republican Party. Between 1897 and 1899 he was a member of the City Council of St. Louis.

In the congressional elections of 1904 he lost in the twelfth election District of Missouri against Ernest E. Wood. Coudrey but put against the outcome of the election opposition one. As this has been complied with, he could take over the mandate of Wood on June 23, 1906. After two re- elections he could remain until March 3, 1911 at the Congress. In 1910 Coudrey renounced another candidacy. After his retirement from the U.S. House of Representatives, he moved to New York where he worked in real estate and insurance business. He also worked in the publishing business. He died on 5 July 1930 in Norfolk.
