Hartbert

Hartbertstrasse, also Heribert († November 12, 1150 ) was Bishop of Utrecht.

Hartbertstrasse came from low level to Bierum in the Groninger Ommelanden. He was ordained on July 24, 1138 to the bishop. He was a imbued with the high dignity of his office, the proud prince of the Church, while an able warrior whose looks and words instilled even the mightiest fright. As Beka says, he brought not only the rebellious Groningen to rest, 1143, and defeated the Count of Bentheim, which in alliance with the Count Dietrich VI.
