Hasan Salihamidžić

Hasan " Brazzo " Salihamidžić ( born January 1, 1977 in Jablanica, SFR Yugoslavia, now Bosnia and Herzegovina ) is a former Bosnian Herzegovinian footballer.

Career

Clubs

With ten years Salihamidžić joined the football team of his native town of Jablanica, the FK Turbina Jablanica, at. At 14, he played for FK Velež Mostar and was also appointed to the U-15 and U- 16 national team of Yugoslavia. The Bosnian war in 1992 prompted the parents to send the 15 -year-old Salihamidžić to relatives in Hamburg.

After three years in the youth department of the Hamburg SV Salihamidžić received a license contract player in the pros and has been in the three years in the senior squad for the Bundesliga - team regular. He was considered one of the best football player of Hamburger SV, and when his contract expired in 1998, he received inquiries from several clubs, including FC Barcelona, Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund. Salihamidžić is currently the foreign player with the most matches for Bayern Munich. His nickname is Brazzo ( the Bosnian Braco to German lad ). He possesses both the German and Bosnian citizenship and is married to the sister of Francisco Copado, with whom he has three children. With his family, he lives in Munich.

With 14 missions Hasan Salihamidžić is also a record player of the German League Cup.

From summer 2013 to spring 2014 he was a football expert at RTL and was the Audi Cup 2013 co-commentator Heiko Waßer. Since February 2014 he is Field Reporter at UEFA Champions League broadcast of ZDF.
