Hayn (crater)

Hayn is an impact crater on the northeastern edge of the moon 's front panel. Due to its location due, the crater from Earth appears highly distorted and is not always visible due to the libration. It is located southeast of the crater Cusanus and north of Mare Humboldtianum. The terraced walls are little eroded. The interior has a distinct, four divided by two crosswise extending fractures central mountain.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1964 by the German astronomer Friedrich Hayn.
