HDK Maribor

The HDK Maribor Stavbar ( Hokejsko Drsalni club Maribor ) is a Slovenian ice hockey club established in 1993 in Maribor. The home games are played in the 3,000 -seat Ledna Dvorana Tabor. The team plays in the highest class of the country, the Slovenian Hockey League, or in the Slohokej League, founded in 2009.

History

The HDK Maribor Stavbar took after its founding in the 1993/94 season the game operating in the Slovenian Hockey League on.

The team took the sweeps of the IIHF Continental Cup part for the seasons 2008/ 09 and 2009/10. The team at two different participations from in the third round, and posted it a win and five defeats.

Women's team

The women's team of the club took, as a founding member of the League, 2004-2011 at the EWHL part. The women played until 2009 from sponsorship reasons under the name Terme Maribor, while the men's team ran as Stavbar Maribor.

Since 2011, the HDK Maribor also takes part in the women's ice hockey Bundesliga next to the Slovenian championship. since
