Heinz-Joachim Rothenburg

Heinz -Joachim Rothenburg ( born April 9, 1944 in Luckenwalde, Brandenburg ) is a German track and field athlete and Olympian, who - starting for the GDR - was the late 1960s and in the 1970s a successful shot putter. His greatest successes are two silver medals at the European Athletics Championships (1969 and 1971 ) and three medals at European Indoor Championships (1969, 1970, 1974).

Heinz -Joachim Rothenburg belonged to the SC Dynamo Berlin. In his playing days he was 1.85m tall and weighed 118 kg.
