Helene Madison

Eleanor Helene Madison ( born June 19, 1913 in Madison, † November 27, 1970 in Seattle ) was an American swimmer.

Helene Madison was the female swimming star of the U.S. team at the 1932 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. She won the gold medal in the 100 m and 400 m freestyle. With the 4 × 100 m freestyle relay they could add a third gold medal.
