Hell on Wheels (English for " hell on wheels ") is the first live album by the American heavy metal band Manowar True and was released as a double CD in 1997.

Formation

The live album was in the Hell on Wheels - added World Tour 1996/1997 and produced. It includes songs from more than 12 countries that have been toured by Manowar 1996 and 1997. Except for a piano interlude and the sound collage Warriors of the World all the songs from the regular Manowar albums come.

According to Joey DeMaio about 60 shows have been evaluated in order to deliver the best possible result the fans and to consider more countries to choose from. Overdubs were not on the album.

Single release

Prior to the song Courage was released as a single. The single also contains a remastered version of the song as a studio track and Metal Warriors in the live version from the album.

Success

The live album reached number # 37 on the charts in Germany.

Trivia

  • From the LP there are two different versions. A version in black and one in red vinyl.
  • In the booklet you will find, among others, the whole tour dates of Hell on Wheels World Tour.
  • The play Warriors of the World, which is located at the end of the first CD is not to be confused with the song Warriors of the World United, which was released in 2002 on the album Warriors of the World. It is in this title to compilations of several concerts and speeches as part of that tour.
