Helmut Benthaus (1970 )

Helmut Benthaus ( born June 5, 1935 in Herne ) is a former German football player and coach, who ( since 1980) who also has Swiss citizenship.

He won as a player in 1964, the German championship with the first FC Cologne, as well as a coach in 1984 with VfB Stuttgart. Career as a player

Benthaus grew up the son of a bricklayer foreman in Holthausen. He was the only one of its primary school, the secondary school finished later with the High School. After that he began in Münster to study philology and sports.

Oberliga (1954-1963)
