Helmuth Schneider

Helmuth Schneider ( born December 18, 1920 in Munich, Germany, † March 17, 1972 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil ) was a German actor.

Life

Helmuth Schneider studied medicine in Munich in 1938 and attended from 1941 to 1943, the Drama School of the Deutsches Theater in Berlin. In 1942 he made ​​his debut in the comedy Sophie Lund. His involvement at the Deutsches Theater in the compartment of the youthful hero, he had to end for his war effort. He was wounded in France.

In 1946 he left Germany and stayed on for over six years in South and North America, where he played in Argentina, Brazil and the U.S. theater. Under the pseudonym Alexander Carlos, he also acted in some films. 1950 Schneider won the German version of the adventure film The Goddess of Rio Beni the male lead.

He returned to Germany and played at the Deutsches Theater Göttingen. Now he took over several times supporting roles in popular films at that time home, where he was repeatedly seen as sympathetic hunters, foresters or estate manager.
