Henrik Jørgensen (athlete)

Henrik Jørgensen ( Henrik Jørgensen Hove, born October 10, 1961 in Copenhagen) is a Danish former long-distance runner.

Jørgensen was ten times national champion, and three times he set a national record in the 5000m and 10,000 m.

In 1983 he presented as a third of the London Marathon with 2:10:47 hours, a national record, and won like last year, the Copenhagen Marathon. In 1985 he was second in the City - Pier - City Loop and fifth places in the London Marathon, each with a national record. In 1986, he won the Egmond Half Marathon and finished second at the Berlin Marathon, 1987, he won the Paderborn Easter Run over 25 km, and in 1988 he celebrated the victory at the London Marathon in 2:10:20 his greatest triumph.

Jørgensen twice took part in an Olympic Marathon: at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, where he was in 19th place, and the Summer Olympic Games in Seoul in 1988, where he finished in 22nd place. Also in Marathon, he was at the World Athletics Championships 1983 in Helsinki Nineteenth and at the World Cup 1987 in Rome ninth.
