Het Financieele Dagblad

Het Financieele Dagblad is a Dutch national daily newspaper with editorial headquarters in Amsterdam. It is published six days a week in broadsheet format. Editor of the newspaper is the " FD Media Group ". The paid circulation was 2008 55.849 copies in the first quarter. Editor in chief is Ulko Jonker, who was previously editor of the regional newspaper De Gelderlander.

The Financieele Dagblad is the only business newspaper in the Netherlands.

History

The newspaper has two predecessors, the Amsterdamsch Effectenblad (founded in 1796) and Dagelijksche Beurscourant: de Nederlandsche financier (founded in 1864). Both were zwangsfusioniert the present Financieele Dagblad during the German occupation in World War II, the first issue was published on 15 September 1943.

On April 2, 1982 Dagblad Financieele rose as the last Dutch newspaper about the photo set. In 1995, the newspaper went online. On 3 April 2000 for the first time also appeared a Monday edition, by then the newspaper was published only from Tuesday to Saturday. Since 15 November 2001 English-language edition was published under the name Het Financieele Dagblad International Edition as a supplement of the Dutch edition of the International Herald Tribune, but this did not last long, on 15 April 2003, the supplement appeared for the last time.

On 1 March 2003, the radio station was taken over Business Nieuws Radio, with the aim that different media such as the Internet, radio and newspaper supplement in a mutually reinforcing. On 15 November 2004, the transmitter and the Financieele Dagblad were part of the neuorgansierten " FD Media Group " (formerly " FD Groep "), which until then scattered over three locations employees received on this occasion a common new location.
