Hieronim Wincenty Radziwiłł

Prince Hieronim Wincenty Radziwill ( born May 11, 1759 in Nieswiez; † September 18, 1786 ) was a Polish- Lithuanian nobleman.

Life

Radziwill comes from the noble Radziwill and was a son of Prince Michał Kazimierz Radziwill. He married on 31 December 1775 in Regensburg Princess Sophie Friederike of Thurn and Taxis ( 1758-1800 ), with whom he lived mainly in the family castle in Biała Podlaska. He served there in 1778 as the godfather of the violinist George Bridge Tower.

A serious blow to Radziwill was the liaison with his wife, the composer and pianist Jan Ladislav Dussek, who was with Radziwill's older brother, Prince Karol Stanisław Radziwill, on the family castle in Nieswiez since about 1782 Kapellmeister. On January 17, 1784, she fled with Dussek from there over the Prussian border to Tilsit. Karol Stanislaw Radziwill reported on 25 January in a letter. From there they traveled to Hamburg, but from where the princess went alone to Regensburg and was reconciled again with her ​​husband.

He was awarded the Order of the White Eagle and the Order of St. Hubert and died at the age of 27.
