High School DxD

High School D × D (Japaneseハイ スクールD × D, Haisukūru Di Di ) is a Japanese light novel series by Ichiei Ishibumi with illustrations by Miyama -Zero. It was 2012 and 2013 also implemented as an anime series, as well as manga.

Action

The high school students Issei Hyodo tried along with two other friends from school for quite some time to find a girlfriend. However, the three rather fall on by thoughtless action and tension, so that really wants to engage a girl at school with them. For the 25th anniversary of the Imprints the short story anthology Fantasia Bunko was released on March 20, 2013 25 Jūnen Anniversary Book (ファンタジア 文庫25周年 アニバーサリー ブック) which also Ichiei Ishibumi with the short story Rias in Wonderland (リアス·イン·ワンダーランド, Riasu was represented in Wandārando ).

From November 2011 to November 2012 650,000 copies were sold, making it reached # 6 of the best selling light novel series of the year. By November 2013, followed by 350,000 more, which she landed at number 15.

Adaptations

Manga

High School DxD has also been implemented as manga, the text of Ishibumi dates and drawings of Hiroji Mishima. The manga was published from July 2010 in the first special edition Bessatsu Chokodora. On March 9, 2012 appeared the spin-off manga High School DxD: Asia & Koneko: Himitsu no Keiyaku? (ハイ スクールD × Dアーシア&小 猫 ヒミツ の けいやく?, ISBN 978-4-04-712785-2 ), which was drawn by Hiroichi (ヒロイチ).

Anime

2012 was carried out by the animation studio TNK implementation of the first two volumes of the novel as an anime, what their first solo production since Ikki Tōsen: Xtreme Xecutor represents. Were first aired the first 12 episodes of the anime from January 6 to March 23, 2012 in Japan on the transmitter AT -X. The opening credits of the first anime, which was omitted in the first and last episode was, with a summary of the track Trip Innocent of D- lined, which was interpreted by the group Larval Stage Planning. For the composition and arrangement of the title, artist CG mix and Takeshi Osaki were responsible. The song text is written by Airi Kirishima. Complete the title appeared as a single of the same on 25th January 2012 Label Lantis on CD.

In the credits of the first animes a short version of the title STUDYxSTUDY was highlighted was interpreted by the newly formed singing group StylipS. It consists of the singers Arisa Noto, Yui Ogura, Kaori Ishihara, and Maho Matsunaga, who had all too short minor roles in the series. The title was released on February 5 on the eponymous single, which was also published by Lantis.

The accompanying background music of the first anime written by the composer Ryosuke Nakanishi. A composed by him and of arranged, two CDs extensive soundtrack was by Lantis under the title High School DxD - Original Soundtrack published on 21 March 2012.

For the 2nd season in the adaptation of Volume 3 of Sympathy Larval Stage Planning is used in the opening credits and the 4th band Gekijōron (激情 论) of ZAQ. When credits appear as well in the first half Hōteishiki wa Kotaenai (方程式 は 答え ない) and in the second half Lovely Devil (らぶりぃ ♥ でびる, Raburi Debiru ) are used, each sung by Occult Kenkyūbu Girls [ Rias Gremory ( Yōko Hikasa ), Himejima Akeno ( Shizuka Itō ), Asia Argento ( Azumi Asakura ), Tōjō Koneko ( Ayana Taketatsu ) ], ie the female Protagistinnen.
