Geography
Hirschbachwinkel lies in the valley of the eponymous creek, which flows into the river Pegnitz. It lies directly on the border to the district Nürnberger Land in the administrative region of Middle Franconia.

History
Hirschbachwinkel was supposedly founded by Charlemagne, but for which there is no evidence. Until 1188, the space around Hirschbachwinkel included in the County Sulzbach. The first written mention of deer creek falls only in the year 1225 as a " Reinger Heri de Bach" is mentioned in a deed Nürnberg ( Nuremberg Document Book No. 203 ). The 465 m high district Eschenfelden existed probably in the 8/9 Century. The first written mention of Eschenfelden dates from the year 1129, as a " Heberhardus de Eschenuelden " in a document of the monastery Kastl as a witness occurs ( HONB Oberpfalz 2, No. 60).
