The Hispar River ( Urdu دریائے ہسپر ) is fed from the melting glacier water Hispar of the Karakoram mountain range in the autonomous region of Gilgit- Baltistan in Pakistan.

Both the river, the mouth of the glacier 49 km long Hispar glacier, and the glacier flow towards northwest. On its bank are the villages Hispar and Nagar, the first near the glacier tongue, the latter shortly before it flows into the River Hunza in Hunza Valley.

The river bed of the River Hispar is not fixed; In August 2006, a bridge below the village Hispar was destroyed by the violence of the river and the place was for months no longer accessible by vehicles. Therefore, a five -hour walk after Karimabad for the villagers and trekking tourists was required. With vehicles, the distance usually requires an hour effort.
