The ghetto Brody was a furnished under German occupation ghetto in Brody, Eastern Galicia. The ghettos at the time of National Socialism were part of the system of the German concentration camps.

History

In September 1939, the Red Army occupied, as agreed in the secret protocol of the German -Soviet Border and Friendship Treaty, the city.

After the attack on the Soviet Union in 1941, almost all 9000 Jewish inhabitants Brody were in the following three years of German occupation first partially used for forced labor, closed in December 1942 in a ghetto and murdered finally, with only the smaller part was deported to extermination camps. By far the greater part of several thousand inhabitants of the ghetto was murdered in March and April 1943 in the neighboring forests in mass executions.
