Hlinka (Bruntál District)

Hlinka ( German Glemkau ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located three kilometers west of Osoblažsko and is part of the Moravian-Silesian Region.

Geography

Hlinka is located one kilometer east of the border with Poland on a fertile plain. Neighboring towns are Krzyżkowice in the north, Rylovka, Nové Vrbno and Studnice in the northeast, Osoblažsko in the east, Sławoszów and Bohušov the southeast, Karlov, Nová Ves and Dívčí Hrad in the south, Sádek, Životice and Vysoká in the southwest and Bartultovice and Trzebina in the West.

History

The first written mention of the Hotzenplotzer rule in the Moravian enclave of the bishopric of Olomouc associated village Glyník place in the year 1267th In 1389 the city was designated as Glinka. 1512 for the first time in the episcopal Lehntafeln a fortress was called in Glinka. The residents of Glemkau were from the Emperor Joseph Parish reform from 1780 to the parish Hotzenplotz, before the much more distant parish Pittarn. In earlier times, until 1780 the children of Glemkau attended the parish school to Hotzenplotz. In 1925 a customs office was established. 1930 the community had 435 inhabitants, of whom 18 were Czechs. With the Munich Agreement in 1938 Glemkau incorporated into the German Reich and belonged until 1945 to the district Jägerndorf. 1939 lived 459 people in Glemkau. After the Second World War, the limit of 1938 was restored and the German inhabitants were expelled. End of 1960, the resolution of the Okres Krnov Hlinka and was assigned to the Okres Bruntál. 1980 Hlinka was incorporated into Osoblažsko. Since 1990, the community Hlinka there again. After the entry into force of the Schengen Agreement, the road connection from Rylovka was restored after Krzyżkowice, thus creating a driving connection between cities and Osoblažsko Prudnik.
