The HMS Berwick was a frigate of the Rothesay - class of the British navy.

History

The Berwick was like ten ships of the Royal Navy named before her, after the town of Berwick -upon- Tweed. It was built by Harland & Wolff for the submarine combat and put into service in 1961. The ship participated in the Beira Patrol, and brought on 9 April 1966, the Greek tanker on Manuela, who had loaded oil for Rhodesia. In 1967 the ship was equipped with a helicopter landing deck.

1977 took the Berwick together with the HMS Plymouth and HMS Rothesay on the naval parade on the 25th anniversary Jubilee of Elizabeth II in part.

After she was decommissioned in 1985, the HMS Berwick was sunk on 18 August 1986 as a target ship by a Mk 24 Tigerfish torpedo the submarine HMS Tireless ( S88).
