Hohenselchow-Groß Pinnow
The community Hohenselchow - Groß Pinnow is located in the district Uckermark of northeast Brandenburg ( Germany ). The community is managed by the Office Gartz (Oder ), located in the eponymous city.
Geography
The area of the municipality extends from the ground moraine between the lower Oder and Randow over the steep drop ( difference in altitude 50 m) to the Great Rift, a part of the Oder- glacial valley. The gently undulating moraine landscape is intensively used for agriculture and is the location of many wind turbines. The nearest major town is Schwedt / Oder (about 18 km).
Community structure
In addition to the eponymous districts Hohenselchow and Groß Pinnow belong to the community of the church part Heinrichshof and residential places Annettenhof, frost forest, Helenenhof and Kiel.

The municipal council consists of 10 non-party individual candidates.

History
1240 appeared Hohenselchow, 1261 Pinnow first time in a document.
The municipality was until 1945 the Prussian province of Pomerania, within that by 1939 the district of Pomerania and after its resolution to the district Greifenhagen. After the Second World War Hohenselchow Pinnow and came to the new county Randow in Mecklenburg. With the East German district reform in 1950 both communities came to the circle Angermuende, Land Brandenburg and from 1952 to the district Frankfurt (O. ).
With restoration of the countries on the territory of the GDR both communities come 1990 neukonstituierten state of Brandenburg and since 1993 belong to the district Uckermark.
On 26 October 2003, the formerly independent communities Hohenselchow and Groß Pinnow be combined.
Transport links
After Hohenselchow - Groß Pinnow be reached via the motorway junction Penkun (A 11). The Federal Highway 2 ( Gartz (Oder) -Schwedt/Oder ) leads east past the municipal area. The nearest railway station is located in the neighboring municipality Casekow ( railway line Berlin- Stettin).
