Holland (Album)

Holland is an album by the U.S. band The Beach Boys. It is considered the best Beach Boys album without active participation of Brian Wilson.

Genesis

During the band's success in the U.S. subsided slowly, she was in Europe - especially in England and the Netherlands - at the height of their popularity. On their European tour in 1970, the band from England wanted to fly to a concert in Holland, but could not start due to fog. From the nearby Gatwick they were only a flight to Brussels, from where they were brought by motorcade to Amsterdam, while the waiting fans were constantly informed about the whereabouts of the band. When they finally took the stage at 5 in the morning clock, the hall was still fully occupied and the band received an enthusiastic welcome.

They continued their tour of Europe continues, but returned due to a television specials soon to the Netherlands, and went away from a week stay in Amsterdam. The group, however, finally fell in love with this country and from one weeks turned into months. Mount Vernon and Fairway (A Fairy Tale )

Mount Vernon and Fairway (A Fairy Tale ) was designed by Brian Wilson as the center of the Holland album. Brian Wilson was often the case with Mike Love and they listened in the dark to a transistor radio.
