Holy Fire

The Holy Fire is a ereignendes every year to Jerusalem's Holy Sepulchre on Easter Saturday miracle after conviction of Orthodox Christians. The Holy Fire is to have no natural origin and not scorch in its first few minutes.

Since 1993, the Holy Fire is brought on Holy Saturday by plane to Russia. Likewise, every year there will be a special flight to Greece and another to Armenia, where the sacred fire is received at the airport with the honors of a head of state and redistributed from there to the Greek Metropolitanates or from the Armenian Catholicos.
