Hombourg-Budange
Hombourg- Budange ( German Homburg Bidingen ) is a commune with 518 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Moselle in the Lorraine region.
Geography
The municipality is situated on the Hombourg- Budange Canner, about 15 kilometers south-east of Thionville on the trunk road to Saarlouis.
History
The place belongs since 1697 to France and consists of the two districts Hombourg and the southern village Budange that were 1790 together.
After the Franco-German War of 1870/ 71, the place came to the German Empire, where he remained until the First World War.
From 1811 to 1902 belonged to the neighboring Kédange to at this time was the church the name Hombourg- sur- Kaner ( Homburg - Kedingen ).
