The Honda VT 500 E (factory code PC11 ) is a more sports- oriented middle-class motorcycle of the Japanese manufacturer Honda, which was produced from 1983 to 1987. The bike was part of a family of models, which also have the VT 500 C ( PC08, a "soft- Chopper" ) and the VT 500 FT Ascot included ( PC10, sales in North America).
In 1983, the list price 6,953 DM Two power options were offered:
- 20 kW (27 hp) at 6,000 rpm, 42 Nm at 3,000 rpm and
- 37 kW (50 hp) at 9,000 rpm, 45 Nm at 7,000 rpm
The throttling of the less powerful variant was carried out by other camshafts, carburetor and manifold. There are also other manufacturers of power reduction rates of 37 kW to 25 kW ( 34 hp).
During the construction period, the model was further developed. The original version was called internally " VT 500 E D" ( 1983-1984 ), with chassis numbers beginning with " PC112000026 " (37 kW ) or " PC113000005 " (20 kW), the variant after the change was given the internal designation " VT 500 E F " (1985 to 1987) with chassis numbers beginning with" PC112100001 "or" PC113100001 ".
