Hood (Band)

Hood is a native of the Leeds- band. It was founded in 1991 by two brothers, Chris and Richard Adams. Occasionally subjected the siblings friends and acquaintances from their environment added for the musical work of Hood.

History

The first publications of the bands amounted to EPs in the vinyl format, which were sold in smaller British independent labels. In 1994 the first studio album Cabled Linear Traction on the label fluff and Slumberland Records. Also at Slumberland Records the following album Silent '88 appeared in 1996.

1997 Hood signed a record deal with Domino Records, whereupon the single label on itself Useless appeared. In the production of the single, the band received support from the English folk musician Matt Elliott, who later participated also in the production of albums Rustic Houses, Forlorn Valleys and The Cycle Of Days And Seasons. In collaboration with the rappers Doseone and Yoni Wolf of Why? was created in 2001 the album Cold House, the distinguished addition to conducting electronic elements especially by the even stronger thematic focus on melancholy mood. Published in 2003 and Compilations Singles Compiled 1995-2002, on which all the singles and contributions to compilations since the release of their previous compilation Structured Disasters of 1997 published by Hood were summarized. Among them were some previously unreleased tracks were.

2005 Hood finally released their album Outside Closer. The tracks ' The Lost You' and ' The Negatives ' appeared also as singles.

Since 2006, Chris is working on his solo project Bracken, Richard has founded in 2007 his own solo project The Declining Winter.
