Doseone

Doseone (* April 17, 1977 in Nampa, Idaho, USA, real name Adam printer ) is an American rapper. He is one of the founders of the label Anticon, and a member of Deep Puddle Dynamics and Themselves. The spelling of his name varies between artists Doseone, Dose One and Doseone.

Life

Doseone began in college in Cincinnati, seriously to rap and produce music. He made locally as freestyle rapper a name, so he joined, for example, in the final round of the local Scribble Jams against the then little-known Eminem. At school he learned Why? ( Yoni Wolf) know and they founded together in 1998 the band Green Think. Under this name two albums released ( It's Not Easy Being ... ( 1998) Blindfold (1999)) on your own. Then joined Odd Nosdam (David Madson ) to the group and the project name was changed to cLOUDDEAD 1999.

In the same year, the group Deep Puddle Dynamics was founded (about with brine, Alias ​​and Slug ) and to their debut album, The Taste of Rain ... Why Kneel? to publish also the label Anticon. Among the musicians who cooperated in the album was among other things also the producer and rapper Jel ( Jeff Logan ), with the Doseone joined forces and formed the duo Themselves. A large part of the founding members of Anticon, including Doseone and Jel, attracted in the following years to Oakland, California, to work together.

2001 learned Doseone the musician Dax Pierson know. Together with Jel, Jordan Dalrymple, Alexander Kort Marty Dowers and they formed the alternative hip- hop group Subtle.

In addition to his work as a musician Doseone is also active as a painter, poet and animation artists. So he designed several album covers of his own works and of other albums Anticon artists. He also published the 2007 spoken-word album Soft Skulls on which he recites some of his poems.
