Anticon

Anticon. is an independent label from the coastal region of San Francisco and was founded in 1998 by seven musicians and the modern manager Baillie Parker. The name Anticon stands for " anti -conventional " or " anti- conformity" or "ant -icon ", which is certainly to be understood as pun in relation to the logo Anticon, a silhouette of an ant (English Ant ).

The artists within the Anticon collective occur both in groups and as a soloist, and often work with other artists within and outside of the collective together. History

The members come from all parts of the USA and in the mid -1990s learned know through the internet. It connected with each other, the interest for a very specific form of hip- hop music.
