Horní Slatina

Horni Slatina ( German Upper Latin) is a town in the Czech Republic. It is located nine kilometers east of Dačice in the Bohemian- Moravian Highlands and belongs to Okres Jindřichův Hradec.

Geography

The Moravian village Horni Slatina is located on the right side of the Želetavka in the valley of a small tributary. To the west rises the 665 m high Bába.

Neighboring towns are Cerveny Hradek and Bohusoudov in the north, and Knínice Budeč in the east, in the southeast Borová, Vesce and Budíškovice in the southwest and Jersice in the northwest.

History

Was first documented the village in 1278th Over time Horni Slatina belonged to the dominions Budeč, Budíškovice and Dačice. Horni Slatina was vicarage for the places Budíškovice, Jersice, Chotěbudice and Vesce.

1970 lost the place its independence. It was incorporated later after Budeč after Budíškovice. Since 1990 Horni Slatina is a municipality again.
