Geography
The municipality is located in the southeast of Brandenburg in the Lower Lausitz on the border of Saxony and Poland, in the traditional settlement area of the Sorbs / Wends.

History
The municipality was created on 31 December 2001, from the voluntary merger of the previously independent municipalities Hornow and Wadelsdorf.

Traffic
Hornow - Wadelsdorf lies in the traffic group Berlin -Brandenburg. Bus lines 56 and 178 of Neisse transport connect the double village to the next station in Spremberg about ten kilometers away, on weekdays with Forst ( Lausitz).
Attractions

In the village church to Hornow the later pioneer Carl Jack was baptized.
