Hörsingen is located about 8 km southeast of Weferlingen between Lappwald and Drömling. Near the resort, in the Hödinger forest, lies the abandoned village Nievoldhagen.

History

Hörsingen, originally Horsigge was first mentioned in the year 1112. 1261 finds another Hörsingen in the area Mention ( in utroque Horsigge ), which must be desolate like.

Culture and sights

Church

The Protestant Church in Hörsingen has a Romanesque architecture, it has been originally attached to a neighboring monastery. In 1683 the nave towards the east was extended to Baroque manner and the baptismal and altar arose. 2006, the wall around the rectory with the old stones was rebuilt and the church environment has been redesigned.

Traffic
