Horst Haug

Horst Haug ( born May 12, 1946) is a former German football player.

Career

Haug played in youth for the Stuttgarter Kickers, where he was also active in the first men's team after that. In his first round 1964/65 under coach Hans Eberle Haug debuted on August 30, 1964 in the then second-rate football Regionalliga Süd in an away game against SV Waldhof Mannheim. His first goal in the regional scored the young players on September 6, the away match against Kickers Offenbach: 87 minutes Haug managed a 2-1 winner for the "Blue ". On the side of Herbert Binder, Pal Csernai, Herbert Dienelt, Helmut Fürth, Otto Garhofer, Dieter Schurr and Rolf Haug Steeb denied his first round of seniors; the Kickers occupied at the end of the seventh rank.

The best placement experienced Horst Haug under coach veteran Georg Wurzer in its third Regional Round 1966 /67. This season he drove in 32 operations in nine matches for fourth place in the Kickers. In the summer of 1967, Haug moved to VfB Stuttgart in the Bundesliga. He made his debut on the opening day, 19 August 1967 in a 4-0 home win against Eintracht Frankfurt. In these years Haug graduated 169 league games for the Kickers, in which he scored 33 goals.

Outstanding in this phase, the derbies were in rounds 1975/76 and 1976 /77 as Haug played with the Stuttgarter Kickers against local rivals VfB Stuttgart. The first second-division Derby won the "Blue " on October 4, 1975, a 2-0 win against the "Reds ". His last league game for the Kickers graduated from the veteran on 15 May 1979 by the 0:2 defeat against SpVgg Bayreuth. At the end of his career Horst Haug went into the Saison1979/80 for SpVgg Renningen.
