House of Wessex
The House of Wessex, also House of Cerdic, the dynasty of the Anglo-Saxon kings of Wessex and later of all England from the 6th to the 11th century. The most important among them are:
- Egbert the Great ( 802-839 ) and
- Alfred the Great ( 871-899 )
