Humboldt National Park

The Humboldt National Park (English Humboldt National Park ) is a 76.6 square kilometer national park in Queensland, Australia.

Location

It is located about 545 km north-west of Brisbane and 180 kilometers west of Rockhampton in the Fitzroy region. The nearest town is Blackwater. From here you can reach the park via the Blackwater Rolleston Road south to about 70 kilometers, the road runs over 6 kilometers in length parallel to the National Park boundary. There are no visitor facilities.

In the neighborhood of the National Park Blackdown Tableland, Albinia, Expedition and Palm Grove are.

Flora

The park protects up to 450 meters in altitude, dry eucalyptus forest on the west side of the ridge Expedition Range.

Here there is an important refuge of the endangered Little Pied Bats ( Chalinolobus picatus ) from the family of vespertilionid bats.
