IBM Rational DOORS

DOORS (Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System) is a software requirements management and was developed by Telelogic.

It allows structured recording and management of requirements (objects) that can be provided with attributes that the user has selected. In order to distinguish the requirements, DOORS provides the objects each with a unique identification number.

For the tracking of requirements during the project ( tracing) objects can be linked together. DOORS based on a proprietary database. There are various analysis tools available. An automation of operating procedures is with the scripting language DXL ( DOORS eXtension Language) possible.

The data can be used to create a model from the UML 2.0 DOORS out.

DOORS is used among other things in the field of aerospace, aviation, automotive and rail technology.
