Igram

Igram ( Eggramsdorf German, Hungarian Igram - to 1907 Igram ) is a municipality in Okres Senec within the Bratislavský kraj in Slovakia.

Geography

The place is located in the Danubian Lowland on Bach Vištucký creek, 10 km northeast of the city Senec and 17 km southwest of Trnava located.

History

The village was first mentioned in 1244 as Igrech. The name is on the Old Slavic name of the musician - take cover - Igric. In the 14th century it belonged to various nobleman families in the 15th century the Counts of St. Georgen and Bösing, 1553 Nyáry family and then since 1577 the manor of the Castle Smolenice.

Until 1918, the place was in the county Pressburg in the Kingdom of Hungary, after which he joined the newly formed Czechoslovakia. 1974-1990 was the community with the neighboring Kaplna a part of Báhoň.
