The Ile d' Ogoz is a small island in the Lake of Gruyère in the canton of Fribourg.

The Ile d' Ogoz originated in 1948 after the completion of the arch dam for the Lake of Gruyère in Rossens in the north of the reservoir. On the island there are two castle ruins. The two juxtaposed towers of the island with its annex buildings Ogoz belonged to two separate castles. Both were sitting a divided rule and each consisted of a tower with associated living quarters. The two towers were in the last third of the 13th century before the construction of the dam in the hills formed by the ruins a peninsula in the river along the Sarine.

At low water levels, especially in the spring, the Ile d' Ogoz is temporarily back to the peninsula, which they can be reached on foot. In Pont -en- Ogoz there is a small contact point for boats that take visitors to the island. The island Ogoz is an important tourist destination in the Canton of Fribourg.

After the island Ogoz region is named in the Sarine district and in the villages with Greyerzbezirk Farvagny, Vuisternens -en- Ogoz and Pont -en- Ogoz ( Gumefens ).
