Illinois Route 84

The Illinois State Route 84 ( IL 84 short ) is a state highway in the U.S. state of Illinois, which runs in a north -south direction. The road forms a part of its course the Illinois portion of the Great River Road, which runs along the Mississippi.

The State Route begins on U.S. Highway 6 south of Colona and ends after 151 kilometers south of Hazel Green at the Wisconsin State Route 80

Course

To the east of Colona IL crosses the 84 to the Green River and take in Silvis on the Illinois State Route 5 and uses to arrive at the intersection of 1st Street the route of State Route 92, the road leaves Silvis in a northerly direction parallel to the Mississippi. To the west of Rapids City, she meets Interstate 80 and north of Cordova passed the IL 84, the nuclear power plant Quad Cities. In the south of Fulton State Route from U.S. Highway 30 is crossed and meets in the center of the city on the Illinois State Route 136

In Savanna, the IL 84 shares the route with U.S. Highway 52 and Illinois State Route 64 and then crosses the Mississippi Palisades State Park. Between the Elizabeth Township and the Rawlins Township State Route uses the route of U.S. Highway 20 before south of Hazel Green ends at the Wisconsin border, and passes into the Wisconsin State Route 80.
