Ilmmünster Abbey

The monastery Ilmmünster is a former collegiate in Ilmmünster in Bavaria in the diocese of Freising.

History

The St. and St. Quirinus of Tegernsee Arsacius consecrated monastery was founded in 762 by Adalbert and Otker, members of the Huosi, a local noble family; first Benedictine monastery, it was since 1060 Collegiate. 1493 the monastery was transferred to the Munich Woman pin. In the 18th century Ilmmünster was the residence of the Munich chapter officers tential. 1803, the goods were sold in the course of secularization.

Equipment

The organ was built in 1985 by Anton Staller. She has 36 registers on three manuals and pedal.
